ZEROMILE MAGAZINE

INTRODUCTION & RESEARCH

The goal of this class was to create a full magazine from start to finish within one semester, mirroring the workflow of a real publication team. Each student took on a specific role- I served as Art Director, guiding the visual direction while also contributing a “Letter from the Editor” page, a two-page spread, and an original article.

The magazine’s theme, Fusion, explored the blending of ideas, disciplines, and cultures. For my feature, I focused on synthesizers, instruments that which fuse together music and technology, and highlighted the pioneering women who shaped electronic music in the 1950s and 60s. My research drew heavily from the documentary Sisters with Transistors (2020), which inspired both the tone and visual language of my spread.
